Bitcoin Breaks $6,000, BTC Stolen in Binance Hack Moved to Seven Addresses, & Other News

  • Bitcoin has broken above the $6,000 mark for the first time in almost six months, showing marked resilience despite this week's hack of major crypto exchange Binance.
     
  • Funds stolen on May 7 from cryptocurrency exchange Binance have been moved to seven bitcoin addresses, six of which hold 1,060.6 BTC, while one holds 707.1 BTC.
     
  • Within the next 18 months, Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz said that he expects bitcoin will cross $20,000, while other cryptocurrencies "aren't going to go up nearly as quickly."
     
  • At the Salt conference in New York, economist and notorious cryptocurrency critic Nouriel Roubini said that "cryptos is the mother and father of all bubbles."
     
  • The president and CEO of Samsung's IT and consultancy arm has revealed the firm is including blockchain as one of the key technologies for its "Digital Transformation Network."
